Church Rental
Facility Rental Policy
Effective immediately, Alameda Christian Church will offer our facilities for rental subject to the following guidelines and stated fees as described below:
RENTAL FEES
Fees for use of Sanctuary
Member - No charge
Non-Member - $800.00
Security Deposit - $250.00
Fees for use of Fellowship Hall
Member - No charge (up to 6 hour maximum usage)
Non-Member - $300.00 (up to 6 hour maximum usage)
Security Deposit - $250.00
The church building is available for rent each Monday-Saturday from 9am-9pm. Depending on the nature of the event, the building may be rented earlier than 9am pending approval from the Pastor and Elders.
Fees for the fellowship hall are charged per day. The term fellowship hall includes the seating area and the kitchen and equipment (i.e., stove, sink, refrigerators) contained therein.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
For the definition of "Member", refer to the Alameda Christian Church by- laws as revised in October 2011. In addition the Pastor and the Elders reserve the right to use their discretion in allowing a Non-Member who regularly provides financial and in-kind support to Alameda Christian Church to be considered a Member for the purposes of renting the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall.
Furthermore, community organizations including civic groups, schools and other not for profit organizations will be treated as "Member" for the purposes of fees.
Only engagements in which the "Member" is hosting and/or sponsoring the event in substance and form will be deemed as qualifying for the privilege of no charge.
Free usage of the sanctuary and fellowship hall by a “Member” is limited to once a year as of the date of usage. Members will be charged as a Non-Member for any usage exceeding this timeframe.
SECURITY DEPOSITS
After the event, this deposit will be returned within 30 days if no charges are assessed. In the event damages to any portion of the facility and/or its equipment and furniture are found, then that portion of the security deposit which is determined to be equal to the approximate value of the damages will be deducted and applied toward the necessary repairs. The remainder, if any, will then be refunded to the renter. In cases where the estimated damages exceed the deposit, the renter will be held personally liable and are therefore responsible for paying the excess.
MISCELLANEOUS RULES
All equipment, including rental equipment, must be removed by the renter from the church premises immediately following the event. Any temporary fixtures or wall decorations placed in the fellowship hall or sanctuary must be pre-approved by the Pastor and/or Elders prior to the attachment.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR ILLEGAL DRUGS are allowed on or to be consumed on church property. Please make sure that the attendees of your event are aware of this policy. The Pastor and/or Elders reserve the right to request attendee of your function who is intoxicated or under the influence of drugs to leave the church premises.
NO SMOKING in the building or anywhere in front of the building. Smoking will be allowed outside in the back parking lot only. Please make sure the attendees of your event are aware of this policy also.
NO FIREARMS allowed on church premises.
The renter assumes responsibility for any damage, loss, or breakage to church property.
DAY OF EVENT
The church will be unlocked up to 2 hours before your event. If needed, the church building can be opened earlier, but additional fees will apply. This time frame is your responsibility. Your attendees should be ON TIME.
Food and drinks may be brought in for the event and must be consumed in the kitchen or fellowship hall only. Please make arrangements to have any remaining food and drink removed after the event.
Any re-arrangement of existing equipment should be put back as it was prior to the event.
Events can be no longer than 6 hours and must conclude by 9pm. Any additional time in the church will be assessed a penalty of $50 for each hour or fraction thereof. Any penalty fee will be due at the time of the event concludes.
For evening events, this curfew can be adjusted after discussing the needs of the renter with the Pastor and Elders.
Children under the age of 18 should not be left unattended at any time during the event. Adults should remain with children in their presence at all times for safety and security reasons.
NOTE: For Weddings and Funerals, rental terms will be subject to the guidelines as shown in the Wedding Agreement and Funeral Agreement.
