A Word from Pastor Wiggins
The Alameda family and I wish to welcome you to our new website and we hope you have an enjoyable experience as you discover more about who we are as a community of faith. I also hope our website is welcoming, easy to navigate and informative.
Alameda is a small congregation with a big heart for ministry. We have strong ministries, such as our Disciples Women, Disciples Men, young adult and youth ministries. Alameda believes that we have been called by God to truly be our sister and brother’s keeper.
We believe that the grace of God is inseparable from the justice of God. We believe that the justice of God is the righteousness and will of God. We here at Alameda have accepted God’s call to be a light to all people by taking the gospel of Jesus Christ into the world, bringing souls to Christ, acting justly and reaching out and generously serving our neighbors, while bringing hope, healing and peace to our communities and to the far corners of the world.
One of our ministry emphases is the issue of hunger and the accessibility to healthy food in our communities. Our ministries include, but are not limited to, a Mobile Food Pantry, holiday food baskets, and a community garden. Last year we started a new partnership with Society of St. Andrew, a faith-based, hunger relief organization. These ministries have been a wonderful blessing to countless families in the North Nashville community and beyond.
We are blessed by your presence on our website and we would love to have you come and worship with us and for us to have an opportunity to meet and get to know you. May the love of God and the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always.
God’s peace and blessings!
